Say I was a little dumb and ran my WC setup without antifreeze for a while and the waterblock got a little corroded, anything I can do to clean it out ?

That's the best course of action to take. Take it apart and clean it out. Even without AF you should'nt have much corrosion if your loop contains only cooper. It's when you add aluminum with cooper that you get into nasty reactions without some sort of corrosion inhibitor. I use distilled water and 15% Zerex super racing coolant in mine. If you do take the blocks apart be sure to leak test it for a while.
