I got some sticky spots on my laptop screen that wont come off with water. Is windex ok to use on laptop screens? It's an Acer.

Water really should be able to remove it all, Any idea what the stain is from?

Sticky spots huh.......? I have used windex on mine b4 didn't hurt it I normally use water with a lil hand soap in it. make sure u have it on a soft cloth as to not scratch the screen.

BTW, it's best to aim away from the electronics :p

Avoid using Windex, it's just a little too good of a cleaner. It's notorious for pulling off the anti-glare coating on TVs, monitors and sunglasses.

I've had good success with using 25/75 alcohol/water mixture.
