I personally don't want to tempt fate with cleaning my sensor with a blower or sticks... additionally, I don't have an AC->battery adapter for my D30.

I was wondering, someone mentioned that an authorized Canon outlet will clean sensors for free (or atleast for a minimal charge).. is this true?

Buy a can of air and blow it off, it that doesnt work there are kits out there. It's a risky buisness but i've honestly heard more good then bad, i havnt heard any bad actually.

Sergei,

Many in the D-SLR world would frown upon using the can'o'air, but I honestly don't see the danger in it. Just ensure that you don't invert the can when ya do it. ;)

Someone had a really good explanation of this some time ago. Something about tiny spatulas :p

Yeah. The rubber ones you spread icing on with for cakes? I tried to think of the right name for them when replying to this thread initially, but I couldn't come up with anything, and didn't feel like googling for the image. LOL

Anyway, I saw the article too,....where they trimmed it down to make a perfect sensor "wiper"
