Ok you know how when you normally clean install you'll go to BIOS and change the boot orders right?

I changed boot order to CD-rom first
pop in XP pro disc

what happens is it just straight boots into the Hard drive. It practically doesn't even try to boot into the XP disc at all. (the disc where you can format and do all sorts of things (blue screen text thing))

I mean this wasn't happend to just 1 computer, I tried to get XP to boot into that for all 3 computers and they didn't do it like it used to. Each computer is partitioned I dunno if they does anything.

This is driving me insane I can't get the XP disc to boot up like before and yes i have tried multiple XP discs.

Another problem is one of my drives is very stubborn about the NTLDR i can't seem to fix it, anyone have any ideas? please help.

Original XP disks or copies? Have you booted from these disks before? Do you know for sure that these disks are in fact bootable? Sounds like they are not bootable disks!

Its been a while since I reinstalled XP, but I seem to remember the CD saying something like "press any key to boot from CD" right after it starts up. It goes by really fast, and if you miss it, it will just boot to your HD.

Yes these discs are bootable and infact they are originals. It isn't asking me to press any key to boot from disc. it's jsut saying boot from disc... then it loads the harddrive. And gets into regular windows.

What channel is your optical drive on? What I mean is, is it on the primary IDE or secondary IDE channel? If its on the secondary channel try making it a slave on the primary channel. This may sound lame but I once had a mother board that would not boot to an optical drive if it wasn't on the primary IDE channel. I had what I new was a bootable disk and it just skipped right by like it wasn't there. After trying all manner of different combinations I figured out what was going on. To say the least I was not impressed.

have u tried to disable all other boot devices but leave the cdrom as the first one?

dont you access bios and change the boot order so the cdrom is booted first? then when you restart, it will say press anykey to boot from CD

I've got a motherboard that flat out refuses to boot from the CDRom with AHCI mode enabled. It's worth checking out -- try disabling it and see if it helps. Even if it doesn't help, check to see if a newer BIOS is available for your motherboard.

I swear I have no idea what happen, ALL 5-7 of my disc ALL CRAPPED OUT and can't boot from disc. I went ot a friend's and guess what? ALL HIS DISC BOOTED!!!!! MOTHER FUCASCASDASDASD ya... anyone know why? is it becuase they don't like my blue case that i carry them in? so they all decided to go to never booting to me?

Heat, humidity, bright lights.. all bad for data retention on CDs....

might your trusty bluecase been subject to any of these?
