Hello there, I was using a pair of samsung 256mb with CL2.5 for few years ago (running dual channel). But I just bought a pair of Kingston HyperX 512mb x 2 which has a CL2. Do you guy think should I remove those samsung 256mb x 2, and leave the system with 1GB ram? or should I also add the samsung 256x2 in the system? ( I read there is a thread talking about not to put a slow pairs of Ram together with a fast pairs, boz it will bring the performance down). But I think 1.5gb is better than 1.0gb right?..Hmm, so I was confused. which way should I go ( P.S I dont want to buy one more pair of 512mb x2 ..boz I just dont have the money...) Thank you

What applications are you running? For most folks, there's no significant difference between 1.0 gig and 1.5 gig of memory. Only those who are playing the latest games aggressively, or doing detailed, large image editing on something like Adobe Illustrator, would really need more than 1.0 gig at this time.

Also, there's not really much difference between CL2.0 and CL2.5, for all *practical* purposes.

Thanks for the reply.
the programs that I usually use /play is bitcomet, office and Ghost Recon (PC games)..and I will do some unzip thing and MSN..and stuff. So do you think should I just keep my 512x2?..boz I may want to sell my samsung pairs if I really dont need them.Thank you

Sell the 256 MB modules. No need for them. Take that $$$, and put it towards something else.
