The virtual world of Second Life appears to be escalating to a full blown civil war amongst its citizens. It seems like a natural progression for a game that mirrors real life in a virtual world.

People controlling animated avatar members of a self-proclaimed Second Life Liberation Army (SLLA) have set off computer-code versions of atomic bombs at virtual world stores in the past six months -- with their own manifesto.

To quote a friend of mine who I'd say out-dates this group with his own on a different game "They are biting the hand that feeds them and this hand can bitch slap them harder then a 10 cent hooker".

whats funny about this is here is a nutjob that clearly doesnt understand the fact that the whole "virtual world" thing is not something to be taken so literally.

someone should also remind them, the movie hackers was not a documentary, but.... that was angelina's bush you actually did see in the film and not a stand in.

I find this amusing. I created an SL account but I never actually entered in (its free), think Ill do that tonight. Supposledy the World Stores are cool and feature product demos.

I wonder if W-Hat/SA Goons are behind this...
Speaking as a member of SA, they don't have the attention span to keep it up for this long. If it was SA, it would have been a full bombardment for about 3 days, then you'd never hear from them again.

This "terrorist" thing is kinda cool, but I wonder if they realize that Linden has all the control in this situation. The fact that they've allowed it to go on for this long is pretty neat, though.

I wonder why the administration allowed this to go on for so long? My friend and I got banned from SL for the same sorta shit when we played for like a day (we set bombs off in dance palaces or whatever, sending people flying out of the building) and usually, if I remember right, the admins are anal about it and ban without any hesitation. Needless to say the game is full of losers and of course it sucks.

Bad press is good press.
