Just curious but anyone have any experience connecting the aeronet aps over a lan. I want to order one for my US office, and deploy an access point in singapore. We have an mpls connection, so would this work or is it not practical?

the gist is, authentication requests(PEAP/EAP) are proxied across the WAN, all data traffic stays local and does NOT traverse the lwapp tunnel.

In fact, technically even "Cisco" is even incorrect.

The correct capitalization is "cisco". Derived from San Francisco Systems... hence "cisco Systems".

I'm not sure even Cisco knows anymore. It seems pretty inconsistent across their products.

I found some book:

In 1984, they founded cisco Systems (notice the small c) ... the name was intended to be San Francisco Systems but the paper got ripped on the way to the incorporation lawyers -- who knows?
