whats up guys i just thought id let yall know about the situation and maybe get your input.

I worked for a circuit city as a technician and literally busted my ass . i was number 1 in pc repair sales for 5 months straight, i managed the bench , was in charge of 2 other people, was in charge of and the only person who knew how to send computers to hp for warranty repair, and also had to step into sales because the salesman couldnt sell worth a damn. my pay was at 10.75 an hour and i was really getting screwed considering how some of the sales people were making 12.00 , 13.00 , 15.00 an hour. I asked for a raise and they wanted to give me a dollar and i told them that i wanted to be even with everyone because i basically do their work for them. any ways the store director responded with saying that im just a loyal person and that he could find someone else that would do the same. So end of story......i put in my two weeks because i feel that i could make more somewhere else.

Do yall have any ideas on where to look for a job.?? doesnt have to be in computers , just needs to pay well.maybe apple , or a business working with computers as an it guy . i was considering going with cingular or sprint. but am open to any ideas.

I'm rootin for ya man, thats crap for what you were doing. I used to work sales and I hated it, you should have been paid alot more than that. Just start flinging resumes out to everyone.

Do you have corporate IT experience? Although some may not agree, I recommend getting your feet wet by working for consulting companies. If not, its still a good place to start to get corporate experience.

while that does suck... i would have taken the dollar raise, and then slowed down and did only my job. stop selling, and wait for them to see the numbers.
