I Have two apple Cinema displays but for some reason it looks like one of the displays birghtness or color is different. This is the first time i have noticed this due to the fact that i have never plugged in both screens next to each other on my pc.

I have unplugged monitor one and swapped it with two and still have the same problem so its obviously the monitor. Sense apples displays dont have a preferences menu could the display just be fading due to age?

All monitors are unique so thats not uncommon at all. The *right* way to fix it (as good as possible) is to calibrate them with a hardware calibrator. You could however manually try to calibrate them using the graphic card settings and something like this: http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/

And yes, the characteristics of LCDs changes with time so aging is a factor as well.

Can anyone recommend a good hardware calibrator that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Thanks
