Any reason why my GTX 295 gets a lower score then my GTX 285 OC both on stock settings? I have reinstalled the drivers and its at 175 something. I get a score of

GTX 285 OC 37.05
GTX 295 36.38

SLI enabled. Can someone help me get a better score. THanks. Its on a Q9550 btw on stock speeds too.

What's it matter in a synthetic benchmark if you are happy with your games. Cinebench is a CPU bench anyways. Even the open gl test is less gpu.

you have to be running full screen for both cards to be used in cinbench, since you can't maximize the openGL window in cinbench it will only use 1 card. which a single gpu on the 295 is much much slower then the gtx 285.

So, in other words I need to connect another moniter to run the benchmark in SLI? Weird is that when my computer was OC and the GFX 285 OC was OC too, I got a pretty high score of 49.1 something. My friend with 2 GTX 280's in SLI got 48.6 something. I didnt think it was that bad, but he has 2 moniters.

I did run 3D mark vantage I got a score of

GTX 295 "Mines" in SLI on card 15169
GTX 295 "Mines" SLI Off 10505

GTX 280 2 card in SLI "Friends" 15051
GTX 280 SLI Off "Friends" 10938

I didnt run my gtx 285 OC cuz I was just using cinebench mark.

Is my card working properly? I figure cinebench was giving me problems, as everything was detected in hardware, and GPU-Z.

Does cinebench really matter that much. Go and test it using vantage or 3dm 2011 or unigine, etc.... the difference in performance between your machine and his might be drivers, background processes, ram, maybe his ram is faster by a bit, maybe his chip is running cooler in temp, maybe he has a cleaner more expensive power supply, I mean the list of variables is actually huge.

I actually scored higher in SLI, on my dual graphics card. But on single cpu, I assume his is faster. I just want a good cinebench scores. Lol.

based on those results, yes your card is working fine.. the gtx 295 is slightly slower then the gtx 280's and significantly slower then the gtx 285.

cinbench graphic testing is even more useless then 3dmark vantage as far as benchmarks go. the only thing cinbench is good for is showing CPU single and multi-threaded performance, thats it.
