I am looking at replacing our existing Kiosk systems with ChromeOS based boxes, however licensing for centralized management seems to be $150-200 per device.

Does anyone have experience with the ChromeOS devices at an enterprise level?

Yes, I have a number of Chromebook rollouts.

It's $150 per device, $30 if you're in education.

Did you use them to replace Citrix based systems, and how was the user experience when switching?

Going well so far just 3 boxes for evaluation, documentation on integrating with AD is lacking.

Anyone have experience with that?

I contacted Google support and they just sent me back to the basic documentation.

Oh hey just an update working well so far with 30 units.

Seems to be no AD integration possible, but that shouldn't be an issue.

The management console is surprisingly simple, and easy to use.

The best feature I have found is if someone steals one of these and does a factory rest on it, the second it reconnects to the internet it will pull down the modified configuration and lock the device back down.

Very cool kiosk device, has a lot of potential, licensing costs are high, but is more flexible that Citrix or a Remote Desktop environment.
