Chrome and Safari

Are there any similarities on the underneath code in these browsers?

I just found the following:

When you do an HttpRequest.Browser.Browser from an ASP page Google chrome returns the following: AppleWebKit.
Could it be that they're using some code from Safari?

WebKit powers both safari & chrome as well as a number of other browsers.
