So I'm looking to get a new case. Something that would allow for better 3rd party cooling of my CPU, as my current case has no clearence for it. The case would have too have:

Room for AT LEAST two 120mm Fans
Room for a Tempest sized CPU cooler
Window is not nessacery, but would be nice.
Doesn't have to come with a PSU

Right now I was looking at theLian-Li PC-7A plus

What say youall?

I'm working with a pc-7b case right now... installing watercooling .. it's very very nice but defiantly a mid-tower.. not sure how big the tempest things is but i would probably fit

i have a superflower case that is similar in dimension to the pc7 and it fit a big typhoon which is pretty big

mal

if you are gonna stick with AIR COOLING , id recommend the antec nine hundred .
lots of 120 mm fans , as well as a 200mm blowhole .
no problems on 3rd party coolers .
i have the zalman 9500 mounted in my case . still lots of room in there .
good luck on your purchase .
cheers .

I looked at the 900 but I thought it was fugly. I don't need MAD air cooling, I figure 2 120mm's and 1 80mm on top would be far enough when coupled with a Aftermarket CPU and GPU cooler.

I'll keep an open mind if some sells me on it.

I am not a pro at wire jobs but I want something easy to keep wire-clean. I was looking at the Antec P190 or w/e but it looks horrific for wiring...?

i am not a pro either .
the nine hundred can be quite easy to wire .
it just takes a small bit of modding .
which is kind of fun anyways .
good luck .
cheers .

That looks REAL nice. But I've never modded a case, I suppose theres no better time to start then the present, but I'd still rather not :p

Other then that, it looked like a winner, I'm still leaning towards that Lian-Li. Any other case suggestions?

What's that box you used at the bottom of the case to hide all the PSU wires? Shoebox cut down to size/painted black?

yep , its a box .
made out of wood . carved stickers , and painted .
it does help to hide those psu wires for sure .
cheers .

Awesome, I'm going to have to try that over break.

I wonder if it'll get in the way of my CCFLs...hopefully not.
