I've noticed that my games have had a choppy effect about every 3 seconds and its very noticable and very annoying. It happens in WoW and FS2K4.(These are the only two games I've tested it in because these are the two games I play the most).
I just went to duel monitor setup. So since I thought that was it I completly unhooked one monitor and got the same results. I also tried DVI output and VGA output thinking that for some stupid reason maybe that had something to do with it, but it didn't.
I ran driver cleaner exactly how it said in the stickey. Ran it twice like it said and even rebooted into safe mode to do it two more times.
I updated to the new drivers from the Nvidia website.
I've tried knocking down graphic settings yet only had minor improvements.
Temps for both the CPU and video card are fine. I'm able to monitor them while the game is running because of dual setup so I know for sure that while in game temps are fine.
I've tried running the games with nothing in the background, yet there was still choppy.
I have tried everything I could think of before coming here. I'm all out of ideas and was wondering if you guys had any ideas on how to fix this problem. Full system specs are below. All speeds are stock by the way.
AMD 64 3400+ new castle
1 gig Kingston pc3200 RAM
BFG GeForce 7800 GSOC AGP 8x 256 meg
DFI NF3 250GB
Maxtor 120gig 7200rpm SATA hdd
and a cdrom
Please, any help would be great. I've tried everything I could think of before coming here. Thanks again.
