So i just picked up 3 dell u2410 v1 monitors that i have been real happy with. I also picked up a XFX 5850 black card. The card came with Dirt 2 and seems to run the game just fine. However, LOTRO runs choppy... i have to dial down the graphics quite a bit for the card to run smoothly. Granted these are the only 2 games i have tried in eyefinity but is it the game or can this card not push 3 24 very well. I also have another machine that i'm running 3 19" samsung monitors. Been tempted to move the 5850 to that machine and get a 5870 for my main tower. However, I am hesitant to spend the money if i'm not going to see a big improvement. I guess my question is will the 5870 solve my problem or should i wait a couple months for something else ... or 5970 to drop in price?

I have 2x5850 and there hasn't been a game that I can not run in Eyefinity with the setting up on.

Just finished SP on AvP for example, Dirt 2 or BC2 (DX11, everything max but AA AF) ... Crysis etc

But if you aren't into Crossfire then I would just get a 5970 when you get the cash and the price drops, but you might be waiting a while for the lower price.

It was just cheapest for me to get another 5850.
