Choppy dragging of windows problem

Hey all.

I just recently encountered a problem on my new Intel system. Its a D865GBF with a P4 3.0C, 1024 Meg of Corsair PC3200 Ram, and a Radeon 9700 Pro.

Whenever I play Baldurs Gate 2, then exit, dragging\scrolling any windows is extremely choppy. No other part of my system is slowed down at all, just the dragging and scrolling. My CPU usage spikes up to 99+% when the problem is in effect and Im dragging a window. Stopping the movement of the window returns my CPU usage to normal. This isnt only a problem with Baldurs Gate, as it has happened before I reinstalled it. Now, restarting fixes it.. but I dont want to restart my computer everytime I exit a game!

Anyone know what this could possibly be?
 
Sounds like video drivers. You may want to post this in the Video Card section.
 
Agreed, I usually get this if I dont upgrade to newer dets after a fresh install.
