Currently i have a x-fi platinum hooked up to a yamaha htr-5930 receiver via the analog inputs. But i would like to hook up via a digital cable and have 5.1 support.
Basically im not happy with the analog inputs of the x-fi and i tried hooking it up with a optical cable via the front panel and that didnt work. i tried all the different settings and the best i could get was 2-channel audio with lots of static.
so im looking at getting a new card. I'm specifically looking at the Auzentech line of cards. If i were to just use the digital out on the card, would there be a difference between the xplosion and x-meridian?
