Choosing a laptop based on screen

I'm looking to replace my 6 year old (!) Asus V6VA. One of the reasons I've hung onto it for so long and upgraded components a few times, is because of the display. I've found almost nothing, except perhaps the MBP Retina, can compare with the 15", 1400x900 IPS display. Blacks are black, text is razor sharp and colour calibration can be fairly close to sRGB.

Being a serious photographer, I value a quality display above all else. I'm wondering if there are any other suggestions in addition to the models I'm considering, or other advice...I find it shocking how so few models offer IPS screens.

MBP Retina
MBP 15" with 1680x1050 upgrade
Asus Zenbook Prime 13"
Vizio Thin/Light, either 14" or 15" - unsure if I'll be able to buy in Canada
Lenovo X1 Carbon (possibly, not many details yet)
HP Envy 14" (not a huge fan of overall design)
 
I should add that while the MBPR seems like a great move, I am concerned about how it does all the downscaling and so forth in the background. Checking my website in store, I found that the sharpness of my websized images was nothing like what they look at on other monitors, and there is also the issue of having apps repackaged and optimized for that display, though I'm not sure how it performs in Windows.
