I just changed my raptor WD74 by a WD320gb hard drive( the raptor was unstable) ... so i reinstalled windows , everything works fine... except my second hard drive wich is a WD 120 need a chkdsk every time i boot... and browsing thru this harddrive is painful and slow...

i am clueless with HD ... anyone can help?

Had this happen to me a while back. Turns out the dirty bit for the drive was set to 1.

Open a command prompt and type in "fsutil dirty query C:" (or whatever letter the drive is).

It'll either tell you it's dirty or not dirty. If it's dirty, that's the problem and you can fix it by following the instructions here (scroll down to the bottom for the answer).

Good luck.

just done it thanks much... but its still quite slow to browse in it...
