Chipworks tears down PS4 (with APU die shot)

If 18 CUs (1152 SP) is 1.84 TFLOPS, how much more if all 20 were enabled?

The current PS4 GPU is already between a 7850 and 7870. Something closer to a 7950 if all 20 were enabled?

Differing clocks i'd imagine. They probably wanted really good yields, throwing redundant CU's in.

Still no word on official speed of the cpu?

I too have been curious about this, but it seems Sony has not officially announced the clock of the Jaguar CPU. After reading a few articles, it seems the CPU can run between 1.6-2ghz depending on load / cores needed.

I seem to recall them saying 1.6.

Then MS announced a clock boost to 1.7 or 1.8.

Jaguar cores are max 2.0 GHz if going by an old Xbitlabs article.

The XONE and PS4 are running at 1.75 GHz and 1.6 GHz respectively, supposedly.

The GPU on the other hand is a complete mystery. I've seen one mentioning 800 MHz for the PS4's GPU. It definitely is going to be less than the 1 GHz of the 7870 GHz Edition GPU seeing the PS4's GPU is between a 7850 and 7870 in terms of FLOPS performance.

There is a lot of speculation over speed, but no one seems to actually have the real answer.
