Chipsets for Socket A T-Bird 133

I have an ABIT KT7-RAID motherboard that’s acting flaky, with intermittent BIOS errors on boot-up. It’s the VIA KT133 chipset. I’d like to transplant the parts to a new motherboard. The CPU is a Socket A (462) Thunderbird 1.2 GHz and the RAM is 2x 512MB PC133 (non-DDR).

I haven’t followed AMD chipsets since I built this system several years ago (really bad experience with this combo). What are my options as far as chipsets that support this CPU/RAM combination? I’d like to avoid VIA altogether, as this system has been frustrating since the day it was built.

If anyone can recommend a compatible ATX motherboard, please do so. Preferences would be one that has USB 2, Firewire and no onboard video (and not VIA chipset).

Well that CPU is kinda old, but if it suits your needs then who cares, right?

Anyway the nForce 2 chipset would probly be the best thing for that CPU. And you won't have to worry about crashing anymore.
