On dells forum i was told to upgrade my intel 925x express chipset drivers. so i did, there are not problems and its still working great. i just wanted to know if i formated would the chipset still have that some update to it, or would it go back to the old chipset drivers and i would have to update to the knew ones again.

If you format and reinstall the OS, you'll be running with whatever chipset drivers the OS loads by default. The chipset drivers are Windows software, so you'd have to install them again from Intel.
