Hey, i'm wondering what are "good" temperatures for my chpset. I've heard the stock passive cooler does a poor job and it should be replaced, i'm just wondering if I need to.

I'm doing no overclocking, and not using onboard sound.

The temperature right now is 48*C (chipset temp)

<specs in sig>

I like how its in the Overclocking section and he is not overclocking..:p

Anyways. That seems a tad bit high. My Stock cooling of my 64 3200 for the chip is around 32.
Hm...

Damn, hrmm, I guess I will get a Zalman passive heat sink (the blue one).

edit: it's also the cooling section..

Ive got the same motherboard as you and my NB runs @ 28 c - 31 c average.

Hey, do you know if there is a case temp sensor for our board?

I dont see it on everest so I dont think theres an in case temp probe for our motherboard.

nope, no case temp.

and mine used to average 35-40c, then i put a wee 40mm fan on the heatsink, and now it's bettern 25-30 :D

Hrm, i've purchased another 120mm case fan for the front of my case when it comes I will see if the temps drop a bit, if not I will just purchase the zalman and hope for the best.
