I don't know if this should be under case modding or motherboard, so I put it here for now.

My chipset fan on my ABit NF7 has basically been failing and IS going to die. Is there any heatsinks/chipset coolers that will work for Socket A and Socket 939?
 
this is a great heatsink and is quiet... the passive ones can be good, but they are very big, and need good airflow.
this is low profile, and dropped my temps over the stock by 10c, as it is all copper...

i actually don't run a fan on my nf7-s' chipset. i just took the fan off (keeping the heatsink on of course) and the air from my cnps7000a does fine. haven't had any problems for over a year
 
do you OC a lot?

do you really *NEED* an aftermarket solution?

if not, just get some artic allumina thermal epoxy and epoxy the old one back on.

If you REALLY want to upgrade, any heatsink that fits will work. just epoxy it on

Just trying to save you money.

For active chipset cooling, I like the Swiftech MCX159 or the Northpole, just make sure it fits your mobo.
