i am getting choppy graphics when game playing. the only thing i have done is update bios to rev 21, updated video card to cat 4.1 and updated my chipset drivers to the newest version. before these updates, everything worked well. i had very smooth gameplay. i reverted back to cat 3.9 but still get the stutter. can the chipset drivers hurt performance? can the bios hurt performance? can i go back to a previous chipset driver? please help. this is driving me nuts.

btw. i did a reformat and reinstall when i updated the drivers and bios.

some advice that i can give:

the order of system installation is important. it is absolutely imperative that it is done in a correct order.

also, after flashing the bios, certain flash loaders will reset the cmos settings. you may need to go through your bios and change back to proper or previous desired settings.

good luck
