Hi everyone, my dad recently bought a laptop loaded with xp. He has some Chinese books he wants to be able to view on his laptop and go read the news on the asian websites. is there a program or update from windows i can install for him to view Chinese characters?

I may be wrong on this, but wouldn't he be prompted to install them the first time they are needed? I may be thinking of something else.
