Howdy Ho! This mod is really just a small project where I paint a cheap case a very shiney red. Now this red isn't really "ZOMG BRIGHT" red, it's really just what Krylon has decided to call "Cherry Red" and my girlfriend (whom the case is for) says it makes her want a lolly pop :). (You perverse that I'll kill you!)

Materials:
1 Rosewill Value Series Case
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811147010

2 Cans of Rust-Oleum Cherry Red
2 Cans of Rust-Oleum Automotive Primer
1 Can of Rust-Oleum Reflective Finish (just in case my sanding skills fail)
1 Pack of 200 Grit Sand Paper
2 Packs of 1000 Grit Sand Paper
2 Packs of 2000 Grit Sand paper
And Alot of Time!

Here are some pics I took today:

Am I the only one seeing a very unhappy looking face in the pattern punched out of the side panel? The air holes being the eyes and the dent that makes the handle being the mouth 0_o

LoL, I see it too.

Ah, I hope that's white primer and not the black paint stripped away. Using dark primer w/ cherry red paint leads to a deeper blood-red color.

And are you using Krylon, or Rustoleum? You mentioned both in your post.

Actually, I sanded the panels down to the metal, I just forgot to get a picture of it :p. And I'm using Rost-Oleum products, I was going to use Krylon but Home Depot doesn't carry them :p and I got the same color that I wanted anyway. The primer color is a light grey, I've finished with actually priming, I need to sand it and lay down the first coat of paint. Since I'm actually really busy during the week it'll have to wait for the weekend, I hope it doesn't rain this weekend.

In the picture, I couldn't tell if it was raw metal, or the primer. If that's the primer, you should get a nice and bright true cherryish color. (Woo!)

Finally got the 1st coat of paint on, and man does it need ALOT of sanding. 2 Coats left :).
