Just got my case today. :D I've gotta say it's a damn nice case. Took some pics of it.

Yes, it's a Pre-Mod so no comments from the peanut gallery.

*Edit* I don't know what's with the black bars at the bottoms of all the pictures. I'm trying to get that rectified. It's coming from the place I host them cause they look fine on my computer.*Edit*

Yeah, it's getting some fans on this window.

120mm fans it came with. One in the front and one in the rear. Anybody know if these are decent fans?

Yeah, see that? That's the 80mm blow hole fan.....it's coming out. Completely, gonna put a 120mm in it's place. Possibly 2 if I can fit them. Gonna measure and see how much room I have after I install the PSU. Hopefully I can get the drill in there to drill out the rivets, otherwise I'll Dremel them out.

I dunno, I just thought that was neat. I can remove the entire back of the case and the mounting plate comes with it. I also like the plate that you mount the PSU to. It's nice not having to take the sides off to do anything.

There is also room enough behind the mounting plate to hide wires, another thing I like; better wire management.

This weekend come the transplant of my old case into this new one.

Edit - Crisp images 500 pixels wide are a lot more efficient to tell a message than gigantic blurry versions. Also a lot quicker to load. // mashie

i like the inside of the case....outside sucks...i hate the front
but congrats :p

LMAO ..yea resize those pictures....its REAALLY not that hard ..get Infranview or..something to fix them .. and the black bars on bottom of each pic.. call the camera makers to see whats up with that.. or use a different one.. possibly a friends of yours

The weird thing is the pics are fine on my comp, they are normal size and they don't have those annoying black bars. But when I upload them to the site I use to post pics they go ginormous and get those black bars.

I'm sorry. :(

And I'm trying to decide what to do with the front.

I like the case a lot. I even like the Inwin server case I got but it's not a nice on the inside. And it isn't gonna work for what I want.

the black bars is the forums my friend....microsoft has a powertool where all you do is right click and select a size, when a pic is to big for 1600x1200 screen(what im running) resize! damn

I'm rather impressed with it. The only thing I didn't care for was the 80mm fan cage on the top of the case. The whole thing was rivited to the case. So, last night I drilled the rivets out and removed the cage completely, I'm going to either put one 120mm fan in its place or I may do two 120's if I have enough room.

too funny!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG! When you quote pics, take of the damn image tags!!!

Als, resize your pics, the reason you are seeing them smaller sized in ur Windows is that, when you open a pic if its to damn large windows will zoom out, making it smaller, since IE (Or forefox like me) Doesnt do that, you get monstro pics.

Go to Photoshop, resize your pics, I dont feell like looking at a 1600x1200 pic of a fan

the sunon fans aren't bad, they run quiet and will also speed waay up if necessary.
They use them a lot in office computers (my experience) and I've plugged them in to high, speed, not loud still, but the smaller the sunon the more air it moves...confused me.

*twitch*

Oversized pics....

THE HUMANITY!!!

Anyway, nice case. 200? Bit pricey. DO they buy you dinner with that?

For $200 would have gotten a Lian-Li v1000

But thats just me...

Or even a stacker :D

I really like everything I have seen and read about this case, only thing I dont like is the price. I would pay as much as $120 for it, but that is my upper limit. There are far to many cases that are alot cheaper that would serve me just as well!

P.S. who all has them for sell at the moment!

Yes, thank yo mashie, from saving us from the unrelenting horror that is...

TO FUCKING BIG IMAGES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyhoo, I wouldnt pay $200 for that case, Like I said, You could get a much nicer looking case for that money (Like the V1000 ;) )

Again, I'm sorry about the god awfully large pics. I don't have Photoshop I wish I did though.

But I just got the case back together today. Got everything up and running, I'm having an issue with my SB Audigy 2 ZS Plat. Pro but I'm sure over time I'll figure it out.

I myself don't actually know if it was worth the $239 they advertise and sell it for but overalll I'm happy with it. It's big, and has a butt-load of room. I completely removed the second (lower) HD cage since at the moment I don't need it. It's gonna go in the box with all my other spare parts.

As for things I've done to the case since having it? I've gone from the blue cathodes I was running originally to red ones, I figured what with blue led fans I'd mix it up a bit. I removed the 80mm blow hole cage assembly completely and installed two 120 mm fan blow holes I need a grill for it though since it's basically a big ass hole in the top of th ecase with a couple of fans in it. I'll probably be hitting Home-Depot this week for some sheet metal to make a grill out of. I added two 120mm fans to the window; one is over the video card the other is over the memory.

As for future mods, I'm not too keen on the front of the case either, I basically ought the case for the room it offered I plan on doing something with the front of it. I like how the red fromt he cathodes inside the case shine through the mesh on the front so I may end up putting blue lights in the front of the case and as for that huge metal door? I'm thinking of removing it completely and doing something else with the design of the front of it. I dunno just yet.

I'll get more pics of it when I clean up the office and figure out how to get them smaller, again, I'm sorry they were so large. To whomever removed the pics and just left the links thanks. I should've done that.

*EDIT*
I don't particularly like the LL cases, I'm just not as turne don by them as a lot of you other guys. ;) I'm still trying to figure out what the fascination with them is. :)

augh dude you have MS paint .. then you can resize them ..

or if you knew how to use your camera you would set the resolution down in the first place

wawawa y noy just buy a monitor that does 1600x1200 instead of bitchin not his fault u have a cheap monitor. 21" monitor @ compshows go for less then $140. So get 1 stop complaining about the resolution. Oh and those sunons are sweet got 2 120mm myself and they move huge amounts of air.

why yes, we should all just buy new monitors instead of asking for the pics to be a reasonable size. what a great solution.

I do know how to use my camera thank you. And I did do that the other day when I started working on the Chenbro case. But it still did the same thing through Windows.

At any rate, it's done and over with now. Stop complaining about the pics, they've been taken down and the links have been left for those who want to look at them.

i've got them for 215 + shipping

newegg has 'em which means that Chenbro got really desparate. :)

according to D. Stellmack, chenbro marketing, newegg is usually seeded LAST for case purchases 'cos of the fact they depreciate the market so fast with their buying/selling speed. LOL...was kinda funny to hear him say that. anyway.

dave

Really? That is kinda funny. That's actually where I got mine from. And it was pretty damn expensive compaired to one other place I looked at after I oredered it from NewEgg.

I'm not going to bother reposting the old pics. But heres some new ones with the finished case (well, nearly finished case) there are a few things I still need to add or cut into the case plus I want to do something diffreent with the front of it but it's up and running.

PICT0028.jpg

Side view. I need some grills but I want something that fits my personality not a trite design that everyone has.

PICT0029.jpg

Another side view with the red cold cathodes off. (I took out the blue cathodes I had in the original case because it made it too blue; I still have them and plan on using them on my desk.)

Top, again with the cathodes off. The Gaming Bomb 2 came with one 80mm fan blow hole, I didn't care for it too much so I took it out; I ended up drilling out the rivets then used a pair of tin snips to cut the cage out of the case. I tried to save it but there was no way to physically remove it from the case without disassembling it completely. I had originally planned for one 120mm blow hole but after measuring the case I realized I could easily fit 3, so since I had one spare one I put two. I need to make a grill for the top or a cover and purchase a pair of grills for them.

[img]http://www.myneonspeed.com/arcade/modules/gallery/albums/GIR/PICT0031.jpg
Top with the cathodes on. I really like the red, the camera washes out the blue for some reason but in person it's a really cool looking reddish/blue color.

PICT0033.jpg

Front of the case.

I managed to hide every single wire in the case. They are all behind the MoBo and only the ones I'm using are in the open but they too are fairly well hidden. In fact, I only used one lead from my powersupply with this case, all the other ones I didn't use are coiled up behind the MoBo or coiled up on top of the power supply. In my old case I used every single lead because it was cramped and I couldn't seem to find places to put things or route them.

All in all I'm really happy with this case. I've still got to put the temp probes from the CoolDrive into the various spots about the case I want them in. I also need to get a 7 in 1 card reader and a DVD drive. I also want to somehow put the receiver for my game pad inside the case so it's not on top of it.

i dont like it at ALL. too many fans on the side. also why did u put so many stikers on the front?????

Where else was I supposed to put the stickers? They are the Asus sticker, the Audigy, the AMD and the BFG Tech sticker. Where would you have put them?

And there are 2 fans on the side of the case. How is that too many?

And, it's ok that you don't like it. I didn't build it for you. ;) :)

i agree there.... i run at 1280 by 1024 resolution on a 17 inch Dell Crt ..plan on saving up for a 20 inch viewsonic Lcd or something

Do you plan on getting some Fan Grills on those Fans?

i like the case overall cept the fans on the side panel leave no room to see into the case and to make it look better i woulda put the fans in the middle of the window and horizontal and not diagonal like you made them

i would NOT put any stickers on my comp, also 2 120mm fans on a side is WAAAY too much. you cant even see the inside of the case. but u like it, live happy and dont mind me

Yeah, but I kinda like the silver, it breaks it up a bit. I haven't quite decided what color black or silver I'm gonna go with yet. Probably the silver since everything elce is silver, I do need to paint the CD ROM bezel because it's actually beige.

I don't put stickers on my car, the turbo is loud enough for that. But on the computer I like the stickers. :D And I realized that you couldn't see completely into the computer with the two fans after I drilled both holes. But I kind of like it that way, especially since Chenbro doesn't have replacement sides for this case yet.

You could go to an art supply store and buy different grades of mesh there. Use it for the top grill and cut out the space for the fans on the side.

About 15 bucks for 10 feet by 22 inches. (If I recall correctly.)

Yeah, that's what I plan on doing. I work at an auto parts store and saw some pretty neat mesh in one of our catalogs but I don't think the holes are big enough.

I don't want something that is going to make a lot of noise when the air is passing over the fans. The case is kind of loud as it is.

Before I only had five 120mm fans in my old case, now I have seven including the XP-120, so with all the fans turned up it gets pretty loud. Right now they are all at half speed, well the ones I can control that is.

There is an art store nearby to where I work I might swing by there tomorrow while I'm on lunch.

May want to get some rubber washers to put on the screws holding the fans in place ;)
Yeah, I've got rubber washers around here someplace.Thanks. If I can't find them do you know where I can pick some up? I forget where I found the ones I have.

Thanks. I'll look for them this weekend. I'll start witht he rubber washer fairy first, she's better looking. ;) :D
