Mine finally came in. I'm a bit confused. I didn't expect it to come with the UEK kit also. Is that how it's supposed to come?

There are two versions, one with and one without; it's the same card. I just got my replacement today, first one was DOA.

Do they die alot? because I should test mine if it does, it been sitting around for a month now.:p

It does look like a simple task to remove from the kit. Is it? Does it have the bracket for the card when it is removed?

It unfortunately doesn't have a bracket to support the card once it's removed from the kit. Next step is to see if that bracket can be purchased. I don't really want to send the card back since it takes a while to get them.

Thanks for the good picture of the kit. I've always wondered exactly how it looks. For those using this card to turn a Norco 4224 into a SAS expander chassis, that kit seems like a great solution.

I wish thats the route that I was going. I may just bite the bullet and change my whole setup.

Well, it's that time for me to start looking for another expander. Does any distributor actually have any available? Or does every place just ship it [direct] from the manufacturer? Every one looks like a month wait time.

Another question, how does this play with the HP SAS? If they are both on the same areca card, would it be of any issue? I'll have the HPs chained off one port of the areca ports (3GB) and this on the other (6GB).

I've been running it a couple days and after updating the firmware on my SSD's, the whole setup has been very stable and fast. The system was hanging and jittery before the firmware updates.

Hitting about 1100 MB/sec and 30,000+ IOPS, all thru the CK23601.

Anyone know where I can purchase a bracket for the ck23601? I've been searching around but can't seem to find one.
