Cheep digital slr flip screen ??

I'm looking for a digital flip screen camera, prefrably SLR any one have a good proce match ?
 
what are you asking for?

No slr camera has a screen that flips out as it would be useless as the screen isnt live.
 
Stupid me. I'm still new at this.

I'm wondering if any one woudl have any suggestions for a really good digital camera with a flip screen. Or if not one of them, than a digital SLR.

Basically for a low end digital slr you have 2 choices. The Canon Digital Rebel and the Nikon D70.

The Canon is a proven camera and is excellent.

The Nikon has not been released yet, but its specs are quite impressive.

Their prices as kits with lenses are $999 for the Canon and $1300 for the Nikon which has a nicer lens that you are paying for.


As for smaller digital cameras with flip out screens you have a few options, but they can't even come close to the quality of a DSLR.
 
THe Nikon is actually out now but, you will have to wait in line for it. If you want the one with the lense then it is $1299 with out is $999. But the problem is, is that it is out sold already so you will have to wait. You can go to dpreview.com to see the reviews and, get information on many cameras. Good luck on finding something you will like.
 
For a flipscreen you'll probably still want to stick with Canon.

the A80 or the new S1 are good places to start.
 
Mr Bucket has the DSLRs covered, but if that's too much money you may want to look at the Canon A80, S1, G5, or Pro 1 (in order of increasing resolution and cost). IMHO, though, unless you really want a flip-screen and self-contained camera, avoid the Pro 1 because it's cost is about the same as a entry-level DSLR, while the zoom lens is not as nice, and the small sensor does not give much bokeh and is very noisy (above ISO 50 anyway).
