How am I suppose to check the temperature of perhaps my CPU to make sure it isn't overheating?

Use either the latest beta of Real Temp or Core Temp to read your CPU temperatures.

Load temp sensors into informer bar? huh?

run informer bar. its a cool widget that you can put "sensor" on.

run speedfan, enable logging, and pick which temps/fan speeds you want logged

this will create a log .csv file in the speedfan installation directory.

create a new sensor (right click on the informer bar) and add a speedfan sensor.

in the sensor properties make sure its pointed to that speedfan directory, it will automatically grab the data

Ok, I enabled the logging and clicked on "new sensor" on the informer widget. Then I added "SpeedFan Meter" to the widget but it doesn't show any temps. Just is blank and when hovered over it says "N/A". What did I do wrong?

You have to go into speedfan first.

Hit "configure"

Select which ones you want (CPU, GPU, etc), and check off "Logged" on the bottom left of each selection.

Then go to Log. Check off enabled, and "add header to file".

Now in the properties for informer bar (right click on it, properties), under speedfan make sure its pointed to the speedfan directory.

Ah, finally. Ok, this is a sweet program that I'll b using. Very nice for watching my temps for overclocking. Never overclocked before tho, what should the temps usually be for a GPU and CPU?
