Just a quick question. Anyone know how to check the progress on a client that is running as a service?

I use EMIII to keep track of my progress... or you could do it the old fashioned way and just open the fahlog.txt file... :D

I have a serious question. Really I do.

I've been working on a Gromacs core with 5000 frames for 24 hrs. I completed 3820 frames. Now it's gone?

This happens to me alot. I should have more WU's completed even though I've had to reinstall XP twice this week.

However, do a fresh install of F@H , get a new batch of WU's etc. and off to work it goes.
So fine, no problem.

Though even before my reinstalls this week, it seems that some of my nearly finished WU's just disappear.

I'm dismayed about this big 5000 frame one I let work all night and it's gone. It wasn't done when it disappeared.

Is this normal? :(

Some wu's (espeically gromacs [and if you use -advmethods or big packets]) are unstable and will die early. When that happenes you get partital credit and the wu's themselves are generally rated at a higher point value thatn the stanford benchmark would warrant.

Take a look in your log files... if your system is OCed too much, it may be just a bit on the unstable side for Folding... if the unit ended early for some reason, it'll tell you what that is... post the error here... or a clip of your log and we'll try to help you out
