My little sister's 17" crt is starting to die :/ So I was thinking of buying her an LCD (she's a good little sister). So what would be the cheapest reccomended 17" lcd monitor??

She does not play any games and if she does they are more along the lines of flash games. She watches a LOT of tv on her monitor with the ati tv wonder VE and now that I got her a dvd drive she watches quite a bit of DVD's on the computer.

So what might fit her/my needs??

Thanks.

What I'm looking for is the lowest priced monitor that could be recommended for my situation. I mean if you could get a $50 monitor but it was black and white it doesn't matter how low the price is, but on the converse side I don't realy think hse needs a 16ms response.

Response also affects movie playback. If there is quick action in the video, a lower response is still better. Though as you said, a 25ms panel would probably be sufficient, as well as a non DVI monitor. My tip is to check out dell's supply and buy one when there is a sale.
