Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
What are the cheapest Hardware RAID Controllers for IDE and SATA, respectively?
Cheapest I can find is $87 for the SATA HighPoint controller, I forget the model # at the moment, but it was featured on THG (dare I say )
Why do you want hardware *and* cheap? I don't think you're going to get hardware raid for under $100 - the Highpoint is partially (at least) software raid, for example. The cheapest SATA card I'd trust to be fully hardware-accelerated would be the LSI Megaraid, at $240; the PATA equivalent is the 3ware 7506, which is so outdated I'm *very* surprised to hear Newegg carries it anymore. Pretty much the only hardware card I'd recommend these days is the Areca series; they're more expensive but from what I can tell it's worth it.
