I'm looking at the possibility of getting a Pentium D 805 for a server. I would like recommendations as far as memory and a motherboard goes.
Could you please give me two recommendations? One for a system using the Pentium D 805 that is built for overclocking. The other with cheapness, reliability and performance in mind and in that order.
For both setups I want to be in the $80-120 ballpark as far as the motherboard goes. As far as the memory goes generic is always good if the price is right. If not then can you let me know what chipset to keep my eye open for and what DDR2 speed I should be looking for for both setups?
I dont have the budget for this right now. But if I can come up with a rough estimate I may be able to see what I can do. Normally I am an AMD guy, but currently there is no X2 or opteron in this price range. So this is why I'm seeking help.
Thanks.
