Cheapest AMD card for Eyefinity?

In the next couple of days, I'm planning to order 3x Dell U2211H LCDs. My primary purpose is to use this machine as my work machine and I don't intend to really game. If I do game, it'll probably just be a quick session of Counter-Strike: Source. What's the cheapest card at the moment that will has Eyefinity and can drive a LCD with a resolution of 1920x1080? I would prefer a reference design card so that I can get an aftermarket cooler and silence the videocard.

Instead of cheapest its usually easier to find a card within a budget. Anyways the cheapest card I had found was a 5670 witch had hdmi/dp/dvi, there are other cards that have vga/dvi/dhmi, but that wont work since it doesn't have dp.

Niether of these cards are going to play much in the area of games, so you may want to jump up to the 5750 if you don't mind paying $40~ more.

On the other hand you don't need eyefinity unless you are gaming, so it might work to mix and match two cards than to run just one.

I am not certain if AMD is being conservative but based on their recommendation you'll need a 5800 series card to achieve the 1920x1080 resolution on 3 monitors which puts you in the $200 to $250 range. At that price point you may as well look at the new 6800 series cards.

You can eyefinity off any card from the HD5 or HD6 series, with no exceptions. The tricky bit comes in that the card must have displayport, and most brands don't fit displayport connectors to the weaker cards.

nope... you need a 5800 series card if you want to drive 3x1920x1080 for high res GAMING, but regular extended desktop is fine. for CS:S, the requirements are so low, you can do it on a 5770(I have a xfx5770, tried extended gaming or GTA IV, not bad, had to scale some stuff down but playable on 3 screens)

ati 5xxx/6xxx series allows for 3 or more displays. up to 2 legacy displays(VGA/DVI/HDMI), the rest (3rd monitor and up) must use displayport. If you dont have a displayport monitor, you need an active adapter. the cheapest active adapters (DP->singlelinkDVI or DP->VGA) are around $20-$30. If you need DuallinkDVI(>1200p), then it'll cost you $60-$80 for the adapter
