i want to buy cheap sas nonraid/raid controller card for my server?

i forget what it called? it is lsi rebraded controller and the other one is ibm also rebranded card.
 
Your looking for the the IBM M1015 (LSI SAS2008 controller) or BR10i (LSI 1068e controller)
 
You can buy the IBM ServeRAID BR10i all day long on ebay for 50-60 bucks and flash it with LSI SAS3081 IT Firmware.

I have this card, stock, what benefits can I get from flashing that firmware? I've heard it mentioned A LOT
