I need to replace the CYM toner in my HP Laserjet CP1215 and almost crapped myself when I saw the OEM price. The 'remanufactured' or compatibles are much cheaper.

Do any of you have a favorite brand for toner? Looking at Amazon I see V4INK, LD, SOL, and a ton of others. Most of them are 2-3 stars with the odd 4 star recommendation. Just wondering if you guys had a brand that you've worked with before that you liked.

Here's what I'm looking at now:

you can get things cheap at staples. for instance, buy used ink cartridges for 17 cents on ebay. Then take 10 (or 20 if you are premiere member) and they give you $2 each for them in staples rewards. Use that to buy new ink. They have a lot of promos for ink too. Check slickdeals.

I've been buying ink from megatoners.com for probably 8 years or so. Unfortunately, I don't see your model listed.

Generic cartridges for my Pixma IP4000 are <$2 each.

Had good luck with LD toner cartridges. Just tried two V4INK first was fine but the second one made a lot of noise and started streaking when pulled out a small piece of plastic came off. V4INK is half the price of the LD on HP Q7553X toner so even if half of them go bad it still works out. On the HP Q7553X the LD is a re-manufactured and the V4INK is a new aftermarket/compatible.

This is still a horrible deal when you can get toner for less than half of what Staples sells their brand toner for.

Coast to Coast sells aftermarket toner for the CP1215. If you get a faulty one, they will replace it at no charge.

I am not sure if they only sell to businesses though.

One other thing. Make sure to turn OFF the toner replacement counter via the toolbox. This will usually give you 2-3 times the usage out of each cartridge.
