Damn, people are blowing out the old style MicroFly cubes for cheap. $45 BuyItNow on eBay stores, $59 at thenerds.net, bunch of others listed on froogle. I'm really tempted to go with a MicroFly instead of an SG01 as planned.

Hmm, I hate decisions like this. If Steeeve had it for just a little cheaper I'd probably be all over it. I do need to PM him though for a shipping quote, I may have all the cash I need if freight doesn't screw me. heh.

Nevermind my last comments, Steve and I had some mis-communication and a Black MicroFly with windows and 400W supply are now on their way. :D

Yes please! The XVS is what I had this mod planned around. I could make do with the V-series but the XVS would be so much better.

hahahah, my cooling and mod wish list for this McFly over at FrozenCPU is more than the cost of 2 'Flys. I love this damned hobby, it's going to have to stay a wish list for now. :rolleyes:

That is definatly the way it is!! :eek: :( :D

Just don't keep it a wish list too long or what you have will go old too quickly as I have been doing that with a build I call Celtic Spirit and that's cost me more because of "updating" than if I had bought everything the first time!! :eek:
 
I think I've finally decided on the heatsinks for this build. I'm going to use something a bit different than offerings from the typical Zalman, Thermal*, et al. camps. For the CPU I'm going to use a ZeroTherm BTF90 and for the GPU a ZeroTherm GX810.

I've seen pics of Zalman 9500's in MicroFly boxes so I'm pretty sure, once modified, I'll be able to get this Butterfly in there. I don't NEED this big of a HSF in there, I just WANT a big HSF in there. My 65nm core stays pretty cool with a HSF, this is way overkill. But we don't always mod just because we need it, do we? :cool: Plus, these HSF's are no where near as expensive as those big ones from the regular guys. Each of these are in the low $30's after rebate.

I think a Butterfly will be pretty Fly in a MicroFly. :D

weee, my MicroFly has arrived undamaged which is a suprise when dealing with UPS. :rolleyes: The MicroFly looks even better in person than it does in pics, I had no idea it'd look this nice. :cool:

Now it's time to fire up the dremel! :D

I got one with windows and no power supply for like $30 shipped after rebate around last Christmas.:D
 
They were $40 after rebate this weekend at Fry's, at least here in Vegas anyway.
