I just got a Celeron D 331 and an ECS board for nice and cheap from a friend who decided to ditch his extra box project. The ECS isn't worth overclocking from what I can find, might have some 'hidden' menu, so what motherboard would be a] cheap and b] overclock decently well?

Note: I tried getting a response in the Intel motherboard sub forum, but to no avail so Please Help me out here!!

Abit GD8 Series , my friend picked one up from newegg for 60$ .. or somethin a week ago an i just oc'ed his 3.0 to 3.8 on stock air coolin (1000FSB) with cheap ram , so its pretty good

The GD8 is currently going for $84 on the egg, could it have been the SG-80, which is going for a bit under $60?

EDIT: Could it have been a refurb unit? I really don't want to pay over $70 with tax and shipping, so it needs to be pretty cheap.

you should keep an eye out for people selling their p5wd2 premium or other nicer boards wtih the release of the newer 975 boards coming out.
