Im building a conroe system shortly and wanted a cheap HSF to replace the stock one.
I was looking at the ARCTIC COOLING Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler at Newegg for $25 shipped and it has gotten really good reviews.

I just wanted to hear some suggestions or ideas.

Should i buy something like that immediately or use the stock HSF and see if i need it?

Not sure if i will overclock yet... maybe down the road, b/c its not like the e6600 will stumble with anything.

I'd say run with the stock, and look to upgrade only if you feel that you want lower temps or if you run into trouble because of high temps. Of course, it will depend on how good the stock is (some are actually quite good).

If you do decide to get an aftermarket HSF, I wouldn't suggest something in the $13 range, it prolly won't be much better than stock. I'd suggest a Ninja. I know it's big and $35, but what's the point in upgrading if you're not going to go all the way for an extra $20?
