I'm looking for a set of decent Gaming headphones/headset for my Laptop for under $50. Preferably with a single connector for speaker and mic input.

I don't need anything super special since I have a set of Sennheiser PC 350 at home and this set will prob wind up collecting dust in a few months since I'm in the process of working out of state during the week (relocating back home) and hopefully will be moved by May.

When I game on the go I use a variety of headsets.

I have a Sennheiser MM 450-X bluetooth noise cancelling ones, but they are well above your budget.

I also have two different pairs of Turtle Beach Earforce M1's they were cheap on clearance, like $10-15 a pair. One if Call of Duty branded. They work very well and are extremely portable and don't sound terrible.

I also have a pair of Sennheiser PC 300 G4ME, similar to the M1's but I paid about $60 on sale for them a while ago. They do sound better but not light years ahead of the M1's. They also have separate connections for audio and mic, so you'd need an adapter.

I have a pair of Steel Series Flux I grabbed for $20-25 on clearance. They are on ear, sound pretty good and have all the different types of cables you'd need.

I have a pair of Mad Catz FREQ I picked up a couple weeks ago for $30 on clearance. They are very similar with the Steel Series ones. I think I prefer these to the Steel Series ones. They are a little more portable and fit a little better. Have all the cabled you'd need for mobile or PC too.

I have had a pair of Alienware Tactx I've been using on and off for the past 5-6 years or so. I think I paid like $40, haven't used them a lot in the past 2 years but they still work great, the fit over your ears and sound good and have a nice retractable mouse. I think they are rebranded steel series 5h. The are comfortable and have held up well for me. If you want a full sized headset I'd recommend them.

Lastly I have a pair of Astro A30's. I picked these up in the fall for about $100, I really got them to get the MIX AMP Pro. They fit okay and are comparable to the Steel Series Flux or Mad Catz FREQ M. I haven't used them a lot,it was the cheapest way for me to get a MIX AMP here in Canada.

My main gaming headset is a Sennheiser PC 360, prior to that I used the Alienware quite a bit with my gaming laptop and a HD 555 with Zalman mic at home on desktop.

I'd say you'd be happy with any of the headsets I mentioned. I'd say the Alienware is the best one overall but it is bigger than the rest. If you want something super small that still sounds very good I'd recommend one of the ear bud sets I mentioned, especially if you can get them cheap. The Turtle beach ones were probably the best value headset I ever purchased at the price I got them. Not sure I'd pay $50-60 retail for them though.
