What Do you guys think about this PC??
Please Rank form 1/10
and if want to suggest a change of one or more componets. then please post a link and a
about price ;) if you would.

4/10.

-the psu isn't atx2.0
-the case is expensive, ruins the "cheapness"
-audigy 2 isn't needed unless your doing 5.1
-the motherboard isn't needed unless your doing sli.

you could save a over a 100 right there.

you are very right by saying this BUT... future upgradability is what i am aiming for.
yes it is not very powerful but.... this is all the power he needs. and if my friend wants to
upgrade this pc when he becomes more of a power user he can easly pop in a 3500+ a
second 6600gt and a better powersupply.

plans to upgrade in the future?

if not then id get a non sli board, usually cheaper
get him a venice core instead of winchester

thanks,

only thing is that every is devided on what 6600 card to get!
from what i have seen in a poll i posted.
37 BFG
23 XFX (hope that is right. lol)
22 MSI
17 other
(not the exact results about the best that i could remember)

Get the Leadtek 6600GT instead. It runs cooler and quieter. Newegg has it for $169 + $3s

Also, avoid TTake PSUs. This isn't mega-cheap, but it'll work a lot better: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817171005 (Cooler Master RealPower 450W for the lazy)

BTW, anyone know of a version of that PSU that comes w/o the power meter and other crap?

yes, most def go with a better PSU, how is your computer supposed to work if you cant get power to it?

To the power supply forum! :)

For the video card, you could try to squeeze in one that's a step higher, like an x800xl or a 6800gt. Both are pretty cheap for what you get, although I can't really say much against my 6600gt.
