I'm building an amd64 box and I plan on running 64 bit linux on it (only nvidia has good 64 bit drivers), problem is i wont settle for less than dual dvi for my 2001fp's..

unfortunately, the 6800 Ultra is waaaayyy too expensive...

Anyone know of anything cheaper? like in the ~$200 range...

there are 6800GT's with dual dvi ports

although i doubt you'll find one for your price range you wouldn't need to upgrade for like 2+years

you can also try to find a Gainward Ti4600 with dual DVIs. I think they go for around $100 now. The GPU might be a bit outdated but you can still do some decent gaming on them.

man i'd love to get a 6800gt, but even that's priced a little out there...i MIGHT bite if a 6800gt went for $300...

I think one of those 5700 Ultras (MSI, XFX) would be the answer..

damn, why couldnt ati make good linux drivers?? i'm going backwards in performance!

thanks for all the input guys!
