Got some old parts, some new eBay scavenged items and a P3/700/100FSB/FCPGA processor in cCO stepping. My aim here is to build a dual processor rig for folding purposes - am attempting to double folding potential of single boxen.
My question is whether there are any dual-processor boards out there that will run the P3 at relatively low cost.
I don't want to have to use registered memory. I have a RAID controller card and some drives, along with a few sticks of PC166 memory.
Some boards I have identified as potential candidates:
- Abit VP6 (S370)
- MSI 694D (S370)
I plan on overclocking the procs, by the way.
I'd also consider slot 1 boards as long as they are BX based and can tolerate operation at 133 FSB (Abit P2B-D, maybe).
Any other suggestions?
