Heya,
Does anyone know what the best bang for the buck AGP card with dual link DVI is? Now that the Dell 3007fpw has been announced, I am most likeley going to pick one up as soon as they show up for sale (assuming they aren't obscenely priced).
However, I doubt my 9500pro could run it at max res. I looked around on the egg and some other places, and the dual link cards I seem to find all seem to be either 7800GTX (way to pricey, and I don't play games on my PC, so why do I need all that horsepower/noise/power draw) or pro cards (quadros, etc, again, way too pricey).
There was apparently a Mac edition 9600pro that had dual link, but it was AGP Pro slot from what someone told me, so, again, a no go.
I have no desire to upgrade to a PCI-E motherboard, as I am quite happy with the rest of my computer... I just want to upgrade my monitor. Anyone have any ideas on inexpensive AGP video cards that will run a 30" monitor (same res as the 30" ACD) at max res?
