I'm looking for an inexpensive 939 heatsink, just to use as a temporary till I get my water cooling system. I'm getting a 90nm chip, and they only come OEM. Otherwise I'd just get a retail chip.

Most of the low end heatsinks though say socket 754/940 on them. Some have metal clips and some have the large plastic things. I'm assuming a 754/940 heatsink should fit, but I'm really not sure what I'm looking for. Any help would be excellent, thanks.

Let's say my price is less than $30 shipped.

The Scythe on newegg is 27.99, which is still pretty expensive. Here's what I'd do: figure out if maybe there's a good heatsink on there that might cost you a little more that you could transfer to another computer or sell to a friend etc. once you're done. That way, you get good stuff for now, then it doesn't just get thrown away once you've migrated.

Alternately, try Ebay or the FS/FT forums here. If you want a cheap heatsink for now, used is just fine.
