Well, looks like about that time again. I kinda wanna keep up with the times and was thinking about retiring my 'ol 17" Trinitron. I have been looking at the 1704FPT and was hooked. Is there any other 200-250 dollar range that can match or beat this one in quality? I was looking to buy eBay or anywhere else cheaper.

Edit: DVI and 16ms response time or lower is a BIG plus

Acer has a DVI 17" LCD for around $250, comes with a three year warranty. I have ordered about 40 of them and have yet to get a bad pixel.

That's what's in my office. It's good, but I wouldn't game on it.
