Charging Asus eee PC via USB

I have a solar power battery/USB charger. It outputs 5V 500mA (the built in battery stores 1500mA). Is there any way to get this to charge up my Asus eee pc's battery? The Asus wall charger runs at 9.5V. Can I use a DC-DC boost converter? Like this one:

I know this will provide very little power, but I will be in a remote location with no access to a wall plug for a while, and would like to use the computer once a day to do some writing.

Thanks, Peter.

I'm not convinced you'll be able to do it, honestly--the EeePC will be expecting that it can draw a certain amount of current at 9.5V. A boost converter will only be able to supply 250mA or so at 9.5V in the best of circumstances, while the EeePC may try to draw 2A.

If the solar power battery could output a lot more current, then you'd have a chance, but I think you may be out of luck. That being said, I don't think you'd do any damage to your EeePC by trying.
