Changing To Different Chipset boards without Reinstall

It is feasable to change out motherboards with different chipsets (VIA vs Nforce in this situation) under an XP pro system without having to reinstall everything? If so what is the best method of going about this?
 
You should be able to do a repair install of WinXP, during which the correct drivers will be installed.
